Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): Angeni Support- Domiciliary care Providing personal care, meal preparation, administering medication, light domestic tasks, providing respite and doing sits and waking nights. Taking clients shopping, bowling, out for food ect.
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): Patients, empathy, good communication skills.
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): Encouraging and promoting the individual to maintain a high level of personal hygiene and providing support where they lack capability. Taking the individual shopping so, they are still able to pick what they want, whilst trying to Encourage a healthy and well-balanced diet. Providing routine and structure and allowing them to maintain as much independence as possible.
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): Allowing to spend more time with one individual and getting to know them and create a friendly but, professional relationship with the individual.
What are your hobbies/interests?: Going for walks, shopping, cinema, bowling, playing games, watching TV.
