I am able to deal with sensitive and challenging situations, when doing so I ensure to control my own emotions focusing on my client’s needs and the desired goal. my role is to provide emotional and wellbeing support whilst representing my clients thoughts and feelings and to ensure there care progresses in a manner which would suit them and their needs. I acknowledge that people in stressful or anxious situations you have to break it down and listen to them encouraging them to maybe write it down, ring again or have it discussed and explained again in a more detailed way.How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I am able to work independently and with minimal supervision as I use my own initiative and I ensure that I give the best in all I do. I have got very good organisational skills I prioritise daily things such as appointments and or workload. Revaluate and adapt when a situation arises or circumstances change. I use these skills with the training I have received and the lifelong skills I have learnt and used. Using ways to ensure everyone is accepting and happy of the situation I have evidenced this by doing weekly rotas in my current role. As support workers we have to ensure the correct staff levels are available and to ensure that the care and support is available to the service users 24 hours a day. my role was to provide emotional and wellbeing support whilst representing my clients thoughts and feelings and to ensure there care progressed in a manner which would suit them and their needs.
