I have my level 2 counselling diploma and aim to achieve my level 3 in the future.What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I believe it’s extremely important to get to know your client and their boundaries to be understanding, respectful and open minded. It’s important to have exceptional listening skills so you can fully understand your clients wants and needs. It’s important to be able to act under pressure in emergency situations, and to be able to remain calm and collected.How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I have my level 2 counselling qualification which taught me how to be a good listener and helper, how to be understanding and deal with vulnerable people appropriately. I am extremely respectful and understand that every individual will have different needs and boundaries so I am very determined to get to know my future clients on a personal level and ensure that they are comfortable and feel respected at all times.What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): It has always been my passion to help people. It comes very naturally to me to be caring and kind and ensure those around me are happy and fulfilled. It is my calling in life to care for others and help them.What are your hobbies/interests?: I enjoy listening music, playing instruments, painting, dog sitting, doing various crafts, spending time with family, shopping, baby sitting, talking to people, watching movies and so much more!
