GENERAL INFORMATION 

I am a 25 year old man, looking for PA to support me on days when I don’t attend Vision 21. 

I need support to access the community and activities, such as going to the gym, cinema, cycling or anything else we plan on the day. I need help to use my money to pay for things. I find it difficult to navigate around busy places and will need a PA who has own car. It is important that PA is able to work on own initiative and support me to plan my time to make it interesting and inclusive. 

The PA will ideally have experience of working with individuals with LD/ autism and epilepsy, but training can be provided. PA will not be expected to administer any medication. 

HOURS OF WORK

Monday 6.5 hours

Friday 6.5 hours

Start 9 - 10am

There is flexibility within reason, or hours can be split into 3 days to include a weekend depending on PA availability. 

RATE OF PAY 

£10.42 per hour

TASKS CAN INCLUDE

Planning weekly support and making appropriate appointments/ bookings where needed.

Support to attend activities in the community. Supervision whilst in the community.  Support with paying for services / appointments. 

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Caring, friendly and social.
  • Responsible and reliable.
  • Car Driver essential with appropriate level of insurance. 

ABOUT THE JOB 

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A probation period will be necessary in the first instance.  Wages will be paid 4 weekly.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
