JOB DESCRIPTION

Relief Personal Assistant

 

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

 

I’m female, in my 40s, and have Cerebral Palsy affecting my speech, mobility and dexterity. I live in Canton, work full-time, love shopping and a good box set :-) Preferably no smokers as PAs.

 

 

 HOURS OF WORK

 

Up to 18 hrs per week

8.30am-1.30pm Tue-Thu

8.30am- 10am Mon & Fri

 

This will be for relief cover only

 

 

RATE OF PAY

 

£14.80

 

 

TASKS INVOLVED

  • Help with final stages of dressing – do up buttons, put shoes on, laces etc.
  • Personal tasks like shaving armpits, plucking eyebrows, hairdrying etc.
  • Support with meal prep and cooking
  • Food shopping (write shopping list, go shopping, put items away)
  • Light domestic tasks

ABOUT THE JOB

 

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A probation period will be necessary in the first instance.  Wages will be paid 4 weekly.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
