What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): Patience, empathy, clear communication, and reliability are essential, along with respecting the person’s choices and supporting their independence in a calm, flexible way.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I can contribute by offering calm, reliable support that is centred around the person’s needs and preferences. I would encourage independence by giving them space to make their own choices, helping only where needed, and supporting them to build confidence in daily tasks. My patient and respectful approach ensures they feel listened to, safe, and in control of their own life.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): What appeals to me about PA work is the opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s daily life. I enjoy supporting others, helping them gain independence, and creating a positive, calm environment where they feel safe and understood whilst still having fun and thriving.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): I enjoy cooking and baking, trying out new recipes, and keeping things tidy and organised. I also like taking care of myself and staying positive, which helps me be patient and calm when supporting others. I love being creative with art and crafts, and I enjoy outdoor adventures like walks or trips to explore nature. I especially enjoy spending time with family and taking my nieces and nephews out on day trips.
