Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I have been a full time carer for my disabled Mother for 5 years in this time I’ve learnt a lot about how to be compassionate and how to provide the very best care whilst being patient and supportive even in challenging circumstances.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I feel that: Respect Dignity Reliability Consistency Understanding Empathy and being flexible and adaptable in situations are qualities that would be important in this role

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): As I’ve been a carer for my disabled mother I have experience of supporting someone’s healthcare and daily living needs whilst also ensuring and encouraging they have independence. I understand how important it is to be reliable and respectful whilst adapting the support given to a disabled person to suit their needs whilst ensuring they are in control of their daily life.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I already have experience in giving someone with disabilities daily care while also ensuring they stay independent and I’d love to be able to help others in the same way.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, doing crafts and DIY and I also enjoy to learn to cook new things.
