Im a responsible, patient and reliable person who enjoys helping others and making a positive difference in people’s lives. Through my studies and everyday life, I have learned the importance of communication, respect and empathy when supporting others. I volunteer to take care of my brother who is autistic I alway ensure that is he safe, respected and support with his daily activities. I realise my ability to listen and follow instructions allows me provide the best possible assistance.


What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): working as a personal assistant for a disabled person, several qualities is very important, Compassion and empathy is essential in order to understand the person’s needs and provide support with kindness and respect. Patience is also important as everyone works at their own pace and other require extra time and understanding. Communication skill is necessary to build trust and ensure that the individual feels comfortable expressing their needs, Respecting the person’s independence, dignity and privacy is also very important when providing personal care and support. Reliability and responsibility are key qualities because the person depends on the assistant for daily support in activities. Being attentive, flexible and will to adapt to different situations helps ensure that the individual receives the best possible care and assistance.


How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I believe my role is to act as an extension of the individual, providing the specific support they need to live life on their own terms. I can provide the stability necessary for them to plan their day and maintain their routine with confidence. I contribute by listening carefully to how they prefer tasks to be done, ensuring that support is tailored to their personal standards and lifestyle.


What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I find it incredibly to see the difference direct, positive impact my support has on someones daily quality of life. PA work allows me for a one to one relationship where I can truly get to know the person and provide more personal meaningful care. I enjoy the variety of the role no two days are the same and I appreciate the opportunity to support someone in different environments, whether at home or in the community.


What are your hobbies/interests? (required): I am a very outgoing and I love to socialise and meet new people. catching up with friends, attending community events or simply striking up a conversation with someone new, I find energy in being around others. I enjoy cooking, trying new local cafes, walking in the park or watching live music. My social nature makes me a confident communicator and someone who genuinely enjoys being out and about in the community.
