Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I hold a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and am currently completing my MSc at Cardiff University. I have over one year of paid clinical experience as a Consultant Physiotherapist, supporting patients with musculoskeletal, neurological and complex conditions. My clinical placements included working with adults and children with spinal cord injuries, dementia patients, and individuals with cerebral palsy, stroke and Parkinsons, giving me direct, hands-on personal care experience across diverse disability groups.
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): Empathy, patience and respect for the individuals dignity and autonomy are essential. Good communication, reliability and the ability to adapt to each persons unique needs are equally important, alongside a commitment to promoting independence rather than dependency.
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I believe in supporting individuals in a way that promotes their independence, dignity and choice. With my Physiotherapy background, I can assist with mobility, personal care, and daily activities while encouraging individuals to do as much as possible themselves. I also provide emotional support and build trust to help them feel confident and comfortable.
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): PA work appeals to me because it allows me to provide one-to-one, person-centred care and make a real difference in someones daily life. I enjoy building relationships and supporting individuals to live independently in their own environment.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): I enjoy exercise and fitness, reading books and writing poems. I also enjoy music and movies, and spending time helping others. I am always interested in learning new skills and improving my knowledge in healthcare.

What days/nights are you able to work, or prefer to work?  (required): I am available to work during the day and up to 5PM in the evening. I have university classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, but I am free on the other days. I would prefer to take Sundays off.

Please use the box below.: As an international student, I am limited to 20 hours per week during term time and have university classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, I am not available for evening or night shifts. Apart from these restrictions, I am fully flexible and committed to being reliable. If any genuine emergency prevents me from working, I will provide maximum advance notice and help find alternative cover.
