What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I have already held a similar position and I absolutely loved it. I had a brilliant bond with the lady and it was a pleasure looking after her, I am looking for a similar position again. I am close by I am very caring, compassionate and considerate. I am very respectful and I take my time in helping others who need my support, I hold 4 years worth of care experience I just absolutely love taking care of others and offering all the support that is needed of me as well as making sure independence is still maintained.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): My first ever care position I worked in independent living in Cardiff and I supported individuals to live safely in their own homes whilst providing the best standard of care. I am all about the individual and I have a duty to provide exceptional care to ensure all needs are met.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I have worked in domiciliary care in the community and I had many different service users. I was then approached to work privately as a live in carer which I took on this duty and absolutely loved 1:1 time and providing all my care and attention on one person. I developed a beautiful bond with the lady and she felt safe & very cared for by me.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): I love cooking and keeping my home clean and tidy. I am currently studying in Cardiff Metropolitan University & I am starting Open University in October which I can’t wait for! I have been out of employment for 10 years due to suffering with a few of my own issues but I am now ready to hopefully gain employment back in this field again helping and looking after someone one who would benefit greatly from the standard of care I provide

Please provide details if necessary: The most recent conviction I have been given a caution and I have spent convictions which was in 2019 or 2020 and I was convicted of blackmail I was involved in a situation of an offense that someone else committed. I have a criminal record of driving offense from 2015. I have made mistakes in life and I just want to move forward and get back into a care position that I am brilliant at doing. I have been out of work for many years as I have been scared because of this reason I would just love a second chance in proving I’m a good person and everyone makes mistakes it’s how you move on from that.
