How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I will work one-on-one, often more flexibly—supporting someone at home, work, or in the community (appointments, social activities, travel). I will help with daily living (washing, dressing, meals) while encouraging the person to do as much as they can themselves. Encouraging decision-making and choice by themselves, Helping with mobility or communication if needed Promoting dignity and privacy Adapting support as the person’s needs change


What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): What appeals to me about personal assistant work is the opportunity to support someone in a way that promotes their independence rather than taking over. I like that the role is centred on the individual—their choices, routines, and goals—so the support I provide is shaped around what matters to them. I’m also drawn to the variety in the role. Each day can involve different activities, whether that’s helping with daily tasks, supporting someone to access the community, or assisting with practical organisation. It feels more meaningful than a routine job because you can see the direct impact of your support. Also building a professional working relationship based on trust and respect
