Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I currently work as a PA with Dewis for just over 2 years, and was previously caring for my Father before he sadly passed away 10 weeks ago. I feel these roles have given me lots of experience.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I feel having a sense of humour, being a positive person and being kind and helpful. Being honest and patient are all really important.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I think I’m respectful of the individuals needs and situation. I adapt my style to the situation and remain professional while helping the person as much as possible. The aim is for the person to feel as independent as possible but for them to be safe

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I enjoy being able to help people to live independently. You build a good relationship with the person you work with and you can help them to enjoy activities and fulfil their lives.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): I’m a mum to a teenager this keeps me busy. I also enjoy walking and the cinema. I love trying new foods and travelling is a passion of mine.
