Casual Personal Assistant & Holiday in October 2024 

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 22 year old gentleman living in the Aberdare area. I have a dog called Pippin who I love to take for walks and take to the park.

I often catch the train into Cardiff as I like shopping, and going into Cardiff bay and visiting Techniquest. I enjoy the beach and I like to go to Barry, this is usually weather permitting. One of my hobbies is pottery and my favourite thing to make is gnomes and gonks. I like a lot of different music, but one of my favourites is Dolly Parton 

PURPOSE OF JOB

To help me engage in the community and help with personal care.

HOURS OF WORK

This is a casual position – hours to be worked when my other personal assistants are annual leave 

I have 12 hours social care hours, 2 hours for support in the home (domestic chores) & 7 hours personal care. 

You will be paid for this time away and have access to play passes.

RATES OF PAY

£11.70 per hour

£0.40 per mile

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).

The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
