JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I'm a 23-year-old man living in Rhondda area with my mum, dad and sister. I have been diagnosed with autism. The main purpose of employing a PA is supporting me within the local community, to attend local clubs and promote my independence. I struggle to communicate with people straight away and I can be very shy but after forming a good relationship I can be very chatty and confident. I get anxious sometimes so to support me with this I carry my 2 toy friends in my pocket. I enjoy doing things such as going to the cinema, playing on the computer, performing arts, football, swimming and going on long walks. When planning my sessions, its best if you communicate with me step by step as I like to know my routine. This provides comfort for myself.

My meals are planned for certain days, However i have a McDonalds on a Saturday.

My parents are looking for someone to support me with understanding time keeping, improve my road safety as I have no road awareness. The best way to support me is to communicate with me such as when it's ok to open car doors or getting me to hold your arm to cross the road. Promoting me to manage my own money when out on sessions. I am happy to use public transport you don’t have to be a driver but driver is preferred.
