I have a diagnosis of Congenital Aniridia a genetic condition, which means I have no Iris and I am registered severely sight impaired. I am looking for a PA to support me with activities I like when I am out in the community. We are an active family and I love playing outside and getting stuck in with outdoor games and activities. PURPOSE OF JOB To support me to engage in community based activities of my choice and to give my parents some respite. PLACE OF WORK Out in the local community HOURS OF WORK 4 hours per week school term time 6 hours per week school holiday RATE OF PAY £13.50 per hour including paid mileage where applicable TASKS INVOLVED · To assist me in activities in the community. · To encourage me in participating TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED · Someone who has an understanding of supporting with sight impairment who be beneficial. · Someone who will encourage me · Someone who can drive and has their own vehicle · An active person who doesn’t mind participating · Someone who is patient and understanding · Someone trustworthy, punctual and reliable · Someone who can have fun · Someone who has a positive view on what I can achieve ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence.
