I am very sociable and likeable with a great sense of humour. I enjoy making people laugh. I like using eye contact when communicating with someone. I have had some difficulties in the past with communication but this has improved a lot. I love swimming, singing and dancing but have no sense of danger so I need constant supervision in case I run off into a dangerous situation. PLACE OF WORK Out in the local community and within my family home on occasion. HOURS OF WORK 4 hours per week You must be willing to cover any annual leave and sickness for my other PA RATE OF PAY £11.80 per hour 40p mileage allowance Please retain receipts for any expenses incurred TASKS AND ACTIVITIES · Supporting me to engage and participate in educational and physically and mentally stimulating activities which are suitable for my age · A few examples of places we’ll go is Techniquest, local museums, cinema, Amelia Trust Farm, Cefn Mabley Farm, soft play centres and trips into Cardiff · Taking me to swimming and the theatre · Potentially taking me to dance classes on a Thursday after school · Other suitable activities as identified TYPE OF PERSON · A vigilant person to keep an eye on my safety at all times · Someone who enjoys doing fun activities and getting involved · Someone who is active and enjoys being outdoors · You must be able to swim and participate in swimming with me · Someone who wants to bring out the best in me · A driver with access to a car ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living.
