Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a gentleman in my mid 80’s with Alzheimer’s Disease living in the Llandaff (Pontcanna end) of Cardiff looking to employ 1 or 2 PAs to support me in my home. I need supervision of my personal care as well as ensuring that I eat and drink to avoid dehydration. My first language is Welsh.

45 mins every morning and 45 mins Sunday evening. Times to be discussed at interview.

£14.80

TASKS INVOLVED

Keeping me safe by supporting in my home
To assist me with personal care, showering, cleaning teeth and laying out clean clothes- supervising only.
To assist with meal preparation for breakfast and evening meal, and prompting me to eat and drink
Light housekeeping by way of dishes after food preparation, cleaning surfaces and emptying refuse bins.
Prompting me to take my medication.

ABOUT THE JOB

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK before you start work. Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.
